Emerald

Among the precious stones, Emerald is the sign of love. It can also have very important and effective influences in the human’s therapeutic Chakras. Relieving the mind and the body is among the most famous features of Emerald. It also creates a relationship between the lover and the beloved and increases the affection between wife and husband. Emerald has different mines all over the world including Africa, Columbia and Afghanistan. Its most famous mine is Chivor in Columbia which owns the brightest gem with high clarity and green color. The first discovered Emerald in the world is located in the mines beside The Red Sea in Egypt whose extraction has been started since the time of Ptolemy (323-330 BC). The hardness of this stone is not like Berlian and it should be cut with high attention. Its hardness is not like the Berlians with low purity, too, and it is a very fragile stone. Thus, this gem is naturally cold and dry. Most of the crystals of this stone, like Ruby, have several impurities and ingredients, such as minerals of the gas bulbs and internal fractures which become matt in case of multiplicity. It’s interesting to note that these ingredients and impurities are not considered weakness but the main recognizing factor for diagnosing the “original” gems from the artificial ones, and sometimes the cause of its beauty!
